Высоко - high
Далеко - far
Быстро - fast

If we want to compare smth, we need a comparative form:
Выше
Дальше
Быстрее

But a soviet pilot should be the best, so a superlative form is essential:


Выше всех - the highest; higher, than anybody else
Дальше всех -
Быстрее всех
Всех (or всего if talk about unnimated things) is all, that needed to make a superlative form of adjective or adverb.
